GRANT OVERVIEW
Rachel Huset made a huge impact in the community with her work on “Spread the Word to End the Word.” She developed and implemented an awareness campaign to educate students about the negative impacts of using the R-word (retarded) in their vocabulary, and its negative effect on people with intellectual disabilities, as well as their families and friends.
